The World Masters Games 2017 is coming to New Zealand and we hope to see you there competing in the sport of Rowing. Rowing joins 27 other sports codes as one of 28 announced as an ‘Official Sport’ of World Masters Games 2017. The World Masters Games Rowing Regatta will be held at Lake Karapiro.

While the final sports programme is still to be finalised, rowing will offer para rowing. The minimum age for masters rowing is 27. The World Masters Games is set to be held from 21-30 April 2017 with Auckland being the host city with approximately 25,000 competitors. With more athletes than the Olympic Games, the World Masters Games is the single biggest multisport event in the world. Auckland will host the 9th edition of the World Masters Games, which are held every four years, and were first staged in 1985 in Toronto, Canada.
