A GOOD LEVEL OF FITNESS REQUIRED
17.5 kilometres, 4.5 hours walking, medium hill, great views, mostly in open country, sun hat, suitable clothing, water bottle essential.
A walk organized by the Whitehall Settlers Hall Committee, raising funds for the Whitehall Hall.
This walk is held on the same day as the Annual Whitehall Horse Trek, walkers going clockwise and riders going anti clockwise meeting up for lunch.
The Walk will be over approx 7 neighbouring farms, doing a circuit around central Whitehall.
The terrain is medium hill country.
A Good level of fitness is required, several big hills are included in the walk, and suitable footwear for farm walking essential.
Sunday 7th February, 9.30am start time,
Please arrive with time to Register and sign an Indemnity form by 9.15am at the latest,
The walkers will be lead by a Whitehall Resident.
Prior registration not necessary, but an indication of numbers would be helpful,
The walk is approx 2 hours before lunch, with another 2.5 hours to complete the walk after a
Lunch break at Luggdihide’s Wool shed, with BBQ sausages, bread, tea coffee and water provided. Toilets at start of walk/trek, and at the lunch stop.
Walkers who wish to walk half of the Whitehall walk and finish after lunch, can arrange for vehicle transport from the Woolshed at 121/2 Oliver Road, Whitehall.
From the starting point, a Flat deck ute is available to take back packs, extra supplies etc to the wool shed for the lunch break, also for the return.
Make sure you have sun hat, water, extra clothing as required as the walk is over open country, and may be hot, cold or windy , depending on the day.
