What you need to know!
When is the TA Sports Tuff Kid Challenge?

Is there a Postponement date?
Nope, it will be held regardless, rain, shine
How do you register for the event?
Registration night will be held the night before the event on Monday the 21st December 2015, 5pm-7pm at the Te Awamutu sports club. This is where students will pay and collect their colour racing band, NOTE ALL STUDENTS RACING NEED TO REGISTER THE NIGHT BEFORE, OR IT WILL COST $5

What time dose is start and finish?
Students need to arrive at 10am assemble In age groups.(colour bands to differentiate year groups), we will go over the procedures for the day just after 10.30am, and first group of students will start at 10:45am. We are aiming to be done by 2pm
What is the TA Sports Tough Kid Challenge?
Students will have the opportunity to compete as an individual and or a team of four. The objective is that students that start must finish – Tough Kid is an obstacle course for primary and intermediate aged students, Year 1,2,3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
How much does it cost to enter the TA Sports Tough Kid Challenge?
$3 per student for the individual race
$4 per team for the team’s race
When do entries close for the TA Sports Tough Kid?
We are limited to the first 500 children. (First in first served). There will be entrees on the day at a cost of $5
What should we bring?
All children must wear shoes on the course, bring a change of clothes as you will get wet, drink bottle and a hat.
How far is the course?
The course will be between 1.5 & 2 kilometres. This course is designed to test your running skills, climbing, agility and much much more.
How will the day be structured?
The day will be split into two parts – an individual race, and team’s race, every student will race in the individual race.
Then if entered into the team race they will find there team of 4 to complete the course again
How will the different race streams work?
Students will be started in waves. A structured timetable of the day will be displayed on the day.
How will the teams work?
Each team is to be made up of 4 people. Team categories are Year 1 & 2, Year 3 & 4, Year 5 & 6, and Year 7 & 8. Teams are required to complete ½ the course together as a pair then tag there partners for the second half the course together, and therefore must cross the finish line together.
What types of obstacles are there?
Cargo net crawl, tunnel, slip ‘n’ slide, under and overs, a tyre pit, beam crossing, A map of the course will be displayed the night before at registration
Sorry this is not a holiday programme we will not be looking after students after the day as finished.
